Position Description Overview – Software Quality Assurance Tester
We are looking to hire a Software Quality Assurance Tester to join out QA team located in Boca Raton, Florida. The full-time role will interact with the Quality Assurance Lead and Development team. We would love someone with payments and POS experience and all of the nuance those brings. A great candidate can point to examples in the past where automated scripts they wrote caught a surprising bug. If you’ve worked with different tools, outsourced teams, or even organized summaries of feedback, bugs and accomplishments, this would be great for our product and engineering teams keeping an eye on process and quality.
Job Responsibilities
•Prepare initial setups of test equipment per test procedures.
•Execute test cases (manual or automated) and analyze results
•Maintain associated tracking via JIRA tickets
•Track, Report bugs and errors to management
•Help troubleshoot issues
•Work with Test Management tools
•Work in post-release/post-implementation testing
•Work with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle
•Strong problem-solving and teamwork skills
•Follow detailed steps toward the accurate and efficient execution of assigned test cases
•Provide input on improvement opportunities for test cases
•Ability to learn and understand and follow established QA procedures
•Quickly learn and understand how the programs, products, and systems we use interact
•Provide detailed written documentation when results of testing differ from the expected outcome
•Be able to follow up with the development team on the defect status
•Contribute to a positive work environment fostering the values of initiative and accountability
•Technical Degree or experience
•One year of experience testing
•Experience Writing Automated Test
•Proven experience as a Quality Assurance Tester or similar role
•Familiarity with the Test Ops Platform
•Analytical mind and problem-solving aptitude
•Ability to Summarize Findings and Present to Product and Engineering Team
•Strong work ethic with documented work history
•Must possess effective verbal and written communication skills
•Must have strong attention to detail
•Must have strong analytical skills with the ability to interact with the development team
•Ability to escalate issues appropriately

• Experience identifying Payments and POS Bugs
•Be passionate about quality and technology
•Have a knack for finding edge cases, bugs, flaws, gaps, etc. in systems, programs, and processes
•Effective organization and time management skills with the ability to work under pressure and adhere to deadlines
•Programming knowledge a plus
